Study of violence in social protest 2013 and 2014 in Colombia and its impact on security in the public problems model of analysis

Abstract

This research which studies the circumstances of violence generated in the frame of social protest in 2013 and 2014, years in which it presented an escalation without precedent in the last four (4) decades in Colombia, particularly in the convergence multisectoral and socially representative and associative request, and the impact on coexistence in relation to the alteration of the statu quo of tranquility simultaneously in several regions and cities where protests were concentrated. In this sense, it is intended from a descriptive approach, understanding beyond the processes in which violence is inserted in the social protest, escalating to critical levels, which for purposes of this research, although affecting the security like a category of coexistence since the epistemological perspective of Police Science, for methodological and delimiting effects using the analytical model of public problems, to find findings which demonstrated how coexistence aimed Police Law, connotes a theoretical harmonization with contemporary principles of public policy, inserted into the current political debate as an essential element of existence and development of the state.
